The Mountain District Christian School Difference
Mountain District Christian School is a place where your children are known and nurtured. We view all of our students as uniquely gifted individuals, created by God to do good works in His world. They are invited into an educational community where they are supported and encouraged to explore their interests. Our staff journey alongside our students to help them develop their gifts and build on their learning within the context of a biblical-worldview. We know that our students learn best in community, where they feel welcomed, safe and encouraged. At MDCS, our students belong to a school that values their thoughts, encourages their faith and celebrates their achievements.
Unique Surroundings
MDCS is privileged to be able to educate students in such a beautiful setting. The school grounds are located within 17 acres of surrounding bushland. Outdoor areas are varied and inviting and include several playgrounds, courts with an artificial turf surface, and a well-kept oval.
Specialist Subjects
MDCS offers a variety of specialist subjects to engage our students and embrace a wide selection of learning areas.
In our Primary School, our regular specialist subjects are Music, Art, Indonesian (LOTE), PE, as well as time in our well-resourced Library. In addition to this, our classroom teachers explore areas of STEM, Environmental Sciences & gardening, community connection activities, and multi age programs, such as our Prep/1 and Year 5/6 Buddies.
